Our Journey

January 24, 2017

We have been so uplifted by the encouragement we’ve received as we chase after this crazy call from God to pursue Him in Paraguay! We can’t tell you how many times people have been faithful in affirming our call and what a difference that has made.

We chose SIM as our sending organization because of their vast experience. SIM has been launching workers into ministry around the world since 1893. They are an organization committed to cultivating multicultural mission movements that respond to need, proclaim the gospel, and equip the Church. With more than 120 years of ministry experience, their passion is to continue to see the Body of Christ in all places, among all peoples, to the glory of God. Our ministry will be focused on equipping and mobilizing the First Nations people of Paraguay. We believe that God is calling us to assist in the work of raising up and developing a generation of tribal leaders in order that First Nations believers can be sent to the mission field, reaching the unreached with an efficiency and in a manner that would not be possible for Western missionaries. At the same time, we believe we are being called to the work of holistically empowering First Nations believers, including the hard work of long term economic development, in order that this tribal missional movement might be self-sustaining.

Will you pray that God will raise up believers among the First Nations people of Paraguay, making them ready for leadership and open to being sent out to share the Gospel with others?

We are excited to travel to Paraguay and get to work! Our projected launch date is early July and in the meantime, we will attend cross cultural training as a family in both March and April in Charlotte, NC. We are also working to build our support team and need people like you to pray for us, partner with us financially and give a hug when needed. Get those arms ready! Thanks for your willingness to walk down this new road with us. We truly hope that you feel a real partnership with us in this mission.  We promise to roll up our sleeves (and wear out our knees) and do all that we can to ensure that your support, both financially and in your prayers, is a sound investment in the Kingdom.
